‘Woburn Park Special’ train at Flitwick Station

The ‘Woburn special’ train is shown by the coal yard at Flitwick Station in 1956.

It was an excursion train from London Waterloo to Flitwick, where the trippers were offloaded onto buses to take them to Woburn Park for the day. Apparently a “Gricer” is a fanatical railway enthusiast and a “Track basher” is someone who attempts to cover as much of a railway network as possible.
